Guess what?

The news is out, we are having a baby =). Surprised? Well, we were too! Since the day we got married, we had discussed when we were going to start a family. Let's just say, we are about 2 years short of our plan. Fortunately our plans don't really matter. I know without a shadow of a doubt, this is part of His plan.

Last May, while Andrew was on his deployment, I went to a doctor's appointment for some problems I was having. He diagnosed with me with Endometriosis and advised me to start a treatment that would put me through menopause. He wanted to restart my system and clean my body out. He also advised me to start having children right away because I was on a time clock, and that my chances of conceiving were 50/50. Of course, I was torn.......and with Andrew being halfway through an 8 month deployment, I didn't have a chance to really consult him about it. I took a chance by declining his treatment, and chose to go on a strong birth control.

Exactly one year later, I felt like my body needed a break from the birth control. Just for a couple months I said. I just want to "feel like myself again." Today, fourteen months after my diagnosis, I am 7 weeks pregnant. We serve a mighty God. While, I am still very early along and anything can happen.......we have chosen to celebrate in faith that God will do what is best for us. He gave us this little miracle for a reason, and we will be excited and joyous for however long he allows us to be.

My due date is March 19, 2013. We will be moving back to San Diego around the second week of February (cross your fingers), so luckily we will be home when the baby is here!
